Decker Rat Terriers can be registered with United Kennel Club (UKC), National Rat Terrier Association (NRTA), and the American Kennel Club Foundation Stock Service (AKC FSS).......and most of them are also registered with Universal Kennel Club International (UKCI).

The NRTA is the registry of choice with regards to the Decker Rat Terrier.  They have the largest database of registered Deckers and they are the ONLY registry to track the percentage of Decker blood in each dog.  The NRTA set the standard for the Decker Rat Terrier.  A dog must contain at least 50% Decker blood to be considered a Decker Rat Terrier.  ALL Deckers should always should always be registered with the NRTA.  It has led the way in reviving the Deckers and saving them from extinction.

UKC is an all breed registry.  UKC sponsors competitive events in sport and conformation.  Decker Rat Terriers can compete in the Rat Terrier class at such events.  UKC doesn't recognize Decker influence in the dogs.  However, they are big enough to allow Decker owners the chance to compete and win titles with their new family companion.  Most Deckers are currently registered with UKC.

AKC is another all breed registry and has only recently starting accepting Rat Terriers into it's Foundation Stock Service.  AKC also sponsors competitive events for your dog, allowing you the chance to win titles in conformation, obedience, etc...
